Depends on the country you come from and the amount of time you plan to stay in Canada. Mexican citizens don't need a Visa as long as they are not planning to stay more than 6 months on Canada. The only document they would need is an eTA. Brazilian citizens do need a Visa to enter the country.

What is an eTA? An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. An eTA is electronically linked to a traveller's passport and the process to get it is made completely online.

It totally depends on what you want and also the requirements of the program. That being said, you can study from language programs, to masters degree.

For language programs its not necessary to already know english, since you can learn it from scratch in any of our schools. However, you would need to know english if your looking forward to study any other type of program.
